GPS House Cross Country

Since our marvellous House Cross Country Carnival at Landcox Park earlier this term, some of our highly placed runners have progressed to the elite levels of the School Sport Victoria cross country running pathway. 

Congratulations to Luca M, Bella S, Rosie B, Gus G and Polly F who all finished in the top four place-getters at the Balaclava District event at Elsternwick Park. Luca and Polly won their respective races!

Last week, those runners then represented our school (and sports district) at the Division Championship held at Bald Hill Park in Clarinda. They all put in mighty efforts against a very strong field of young athletes from many schools … and Gus G (11 year old race) and Polly F (12/13 year old race) both finished in the Top 10 to qualify for the State Regional Event on 17th June.
