Important Uniform information for 2026

Please note that Year 7 students in 2026 are required to purchase both the new sublimated dark blue sports polo (not the light blue shirt) and the soft-shell jacket (not the spray jacket). Both the spray jacket and light blue polo sports shirt are being phased out and are not available for sale to 2026 Year 7 and 8 students through the second-hand uniform shop. Both items will also be removed from the second-hand uniform shop at the end of Term 2 and will not be collected for sale in 2026.

Please also note that in 2026, due to Victorian Government changes, the Koonung logo is not required on either Sports uniform shorts or tracksuit pants. As per the Koonung logo guide, shorts must only be Navy in colour in stretch micro fibre (no other colours) and track suit pants must be cotton, Navy in colour only and preferably with a zipped pocket.

SPORTS UNIFORM: worn for PE, Sport Education and Sports Competitions

Sports polo: A new PE polo top was introduced in 2025 and this item is compulsory for all Year 7 and 8 students. Years 9-10 may continue to wear the existing polo top for a 3 year transition period (until the end of 2027)

Important update for 2026 School Council nominations

From next year, parents, carers and community members will need a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) before they can nominate for school council. If you’re thinking about putting your hand up, now is the time to apply — processing can take 3–12 weeks.

Volunteer WWCCs are free and can be completed online via Service Victoria.

More details can be found on the VSL website at: https://web.vsl.vic.edu.au/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Community-advice-re-Changes-to-Ministerial-order-for-school-councils.pdf

Further information about the upcoming College Council elections will be included in our next newsletter which will be sent out later in February.
