Welcome back!
Welcome back to Term 3! I hope all of our students, staff and families enjoyed a well-deserved break and are feeling refreshed for another exciting term of learning.
I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our school community for the warm welcome and support I have received as I step into the role of Acting Principal. It is a privilege to lead Echuca Twin Rivers Primary School, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue working alongside our dedicated staff, wonderful students and supportive families.
As we begin the new term, I hope my appointment provides a sense of continuity and consistency for our school community. We have many exciting initiatives and opportunities ahead, and I look forward to building on the fantastic work already taking place across the school while ensuring we continue to provide the best possible learning environment for every student.
My door is always open, and I value strong partnerships with our families. If you have any questions, concerns or would simply like to introduce yourself, I encourage you to book a time to come and have a chat. I look forward to working together to make Term 3 a positive and successful one for everyone.
Student Led Conferences
Just a reminder that Student Led Conferences are coming up this coming Wednesday, 29th July. Please ensure you have booked a time to chat with your child's classroom teacher. This is a great chance to unpack the school report in greater detail and discuss their goals for the remainder of 2026.
School Council News
School Council will meet on the evening of Tuesday July 28th.
In the next newsletter, I will share some of the key topics discussed.
I would encourage any current family or community member to strongly considering joining our school council. We are seeking 1 x Parent representative and a 1 x Community representative to join our team. This is your chance to have a say in the direction we are heading as a school and promote this vision. For more information, please contact the office.
School Uniform
A friendly reminder that all students are expected to be wearing school uniform each day. While we understand in the cold weather we like to layer up and wear our favourite jumper, we do have school jumpers and jackets available and would appreciate parent support in helping their child wear their uniform each and every day. If any family needs support with uniform, please come to the office to have a chat and see how we can help.
I would like to acknowledge and congratulate Vikki Hannasky as she officially sails off into the sunset and begins her well-earned retirement.
Vikki has been a valued member of the Echuca Twin Rivers Primary School community since the school's inception, supporting students and staff in a variety of roles over the years. She has always approached her work with professionalism, dedication and a quiet willingness to help wherever needed. Much of what Vikki did happened behind the scenes, often without recognition, but her contributions have played an important part in the success of our school.
Vikki will be greatly missed by the entire ETRPS community. On behalf of our staff, students and families, we thank her for her many years of service and wish her every happiness and good health as she embarks on this exciting new chapter. Congratulations, Vikki, and enjoy your retirement!
