Mount Beckworth Hike

Recently, the Outdoor Ed class participated in a hike up to the summit of Mount Beckworth, near Clunes. Students were required to carry their own packs, complete with their own food, and the equipment needed to make their own lunches. After hiking to the summit of the mountain students made themselves comfortable beneath the branches of the ancient 'Lollipop Tree', enjoying the view while cooking their lunch. While some students opted for simple, no fuss meals like pancakes and hamburgers, others took up the challenge, cooking an array of meat and vegetables.

The hike was in preparation for their Outdoor Ed camp, held in the last week of Term 3. Stay tuned for details of the camp, in the first issue next term.
