Parents & Friends Meeting
All parents are invited to attend the Parents and Friends meeting that are held in our staff room on:

Blessing of the Animals & St Francis of Assisi Awards
Tomorrow is one of the biggest occasions in the St. Francis of The Fields Calendar. Here are some details about the day!
When: Friday 17 October @ 9.15 am
(until 10.15am approx.)
- Where: Basketball Court
- Who: Everyone, especially our beloved pets!
Signs in Cars at Pick up
In order to speed up the pickup process after school, we ask that families have their surname signs clearly visible on their dashboard so that the teachers on duty can have your children ready to get in a lot quicker.
These signs help us to have children getting into cars in each bay, rather than just the first two bays which is often the case. If families need new name displays, please contact the school office.
Summer Uniform Changeover
Please note that children may wear either their summer or winter uniform from Monday 8 September during the changeable weather conditions. All children will need to be in Summer uniform by Monday 20 October.
Class Placements for 2026
Our staff will be working on Class Lists for 2026. There are many factors to consider in this process. Teachers spend many hours ensuring your child is placed in the best learning environment possible. Any requests for class placement must be based on educational reasons and must be put in writing and given to the Principal no later than Monday 20 October, 2025. Rather than ask for specific teachers, parents are requested to write down the type of teacher skills that would benefit their child.
Please note that not all requests can be honored.
Shed Unavailability
The shed will be unavailable fortraining use on the following dates:
Tuesday 4 Nov - Set up for Instrumental concerts
Wednesday 5 Nov - Instrumental Concerts
Thursday 27 Nov - St Kilian's School Concert
Thursday 11 Dec - Yr 6 Graduation Mass
Term School Closure Days & Public Holidays
Please note that our school will be closed on the following days:
Wednesday 29 October - Bendigo Cup Holiday
Monday 24 November – Report Writing Day
Tuesday 25 November - 2026 Planning Day
Wednesday 17 December - 2025 Planning Day (Last day of the school year for teachers)
This means the last day of the school year for our children will be Tuesday 16 December. The school will finish at 3.20pm on this day.
YMCA - Bookings for Pupil Free Days in November
YMCA After School Care are seeking expressions of interest from parents who would like to use their service for the two scheduled pupil free days in November. They require a minimum of 10 children on each day to run this service.

Assembly
1R & 1M will lead our next school assembly tomorrow, Friday 24 October from 2.45pm in the Shed. All parents, grandparents and guardians are most welcome to attend.
