SENSATIONAL DAY of SWIMMING!
Last Friday we saw a pool-drenched full day of positives for our school! Participation, house spirit, resilience, amazing parent support, whole staff working as a team, students giving it their all, encouragement, cheering and 100% energy! We’d like to congratulate all swimmers on their brilliant House-spirit efforts over the day; it was so wonderful to see both ends of the pool full of swimming action and cheering over the day!
Big event days like these whole school sports carnivals do not happen without full commitment from our staff and the wonderful support from many parents; in fact 53 parents who all chipped in to do their part! A massive thank you also goes to Miss Ferrari and Ms Douglas who were our sensational in-pool support crew for the Junior carnival. This support ensures all our juniors can feel supported and can gain success in all their events.
After a big day of swimming, we’d like to congratulate these Houses for winning their carnival, gaining the most points from all their event placings:
Junior carnival winning House: FINBAR
Senior carnival winning House: XAVIER
In combining all House points from both carnivals, we had some very close results - with MARIAN HOUSE coming away as OVERALL SWIMMING CARNIVAL WINNERS for our Whole School Swimming Carnival.
Congratulations goes to all swimmers in this House and to everyone for participating over the day. What was so pleasing was to see the number of students volunteering on the day to step up into more events!
