Year One Team 

On Wednesday, the 15th of October, the Year 1 students went on an excursion to Clip' n Climb Berwick. They were split into two groups and got to spend some time climbing the rock climbing walls and playing in the Cheeky Monkey Playground. The students were shown how to be safe on the walls and climbed as high as they could. Each wall offered a new challenge, encouraging students to think carefully, use their strength, and show determination. It was amazing to see so many students reach new heights each time and try to challenge themselves by going one step further each time. On returning to school, a favourite memory of the day was the movie on our bus ride there.

The students were cheering each other on and helping each other when they got stuck.

Miss Wallace had a great time in the playground when she fell through the floor and got stuck 🙂

When asked what their favourite activity was, here are some of the students responses:

Zaylee - “Going on the dark tower and completing the challenge!”

Grace - “Watching the bee movie on the bus!”

Will - “I liked to climb at Clip n climb!”

Miss Hannan, Miss Ferlauto, Miss Wallace, Ms Cooper and Mrs Graham could not have been prouder of the resilience that every student showed. All students showed exceptional determination to step outside of their comfort zone and challenged themselves with each wall that they climbed. In the teacher's words, ‘BEST DAY EVER!’
