Catholic Education Week Mass
Today we gathered in the church with the students from St. Brendan’s, Sacred Heart and the Trinity school leaders to celebrate Catholic Education Week Mass. It was great to gather together and celebrate our school’s Catholic identity. Afterwards the Grade 6 students from each of the schools went to One Movement for a session with Andre which allowed opportunities to build friendships with new children.
National Reconciliation Week
On Tuesday we celebrated National Reconciliation Week as a school. Although wet weather meant we were unable to participate in our planned walk around the gardens, we were still able to gather as a school to pray and learn about the meaning of NRW. The students also undertook lessons with their classroom and specialist teachers about the importance of working together as a community and recognising that our past still causes some people pain today.
