Student Free Day

A reminder that Monday 3rd November (this Monday) is a student free day so students do not attend school. Tuesday is also a public holiday so students return to school next week on Wednesday 5th November.

Playground Upgrade

A couple of weeks ago you may have noticed that the asphalt area between the STEM classroom and rooms 5-7 was cleaned and painted black in preparation for some new colourful line marking and play areas.

Yesterday we had the area totally revamped with new downball courts, an activity circuit, a large caterpillar, hopscotch and a large 100s grid. All of the new additions look so bright and have really transformed the area. It was a very interesting process to observe and the results are spectacular.

We look forward to the new courts and circuits being extremely popular and used regularly by the students.

2026 Prep Transition

A reminder to all families with 2026 Prep students who are attending school next year that transition sessions are happening each Wednesday in the STEM room, from 9:00am - 11:00am. All children who have been attending have been having a great time and are learning some of the initial skills that will thoroughly prepare them for their transition to school next year.

If you know of any families with school age children for next year who have yet to enrol or are considering schools please invite them to call the school or attend at the office to complete the enrolment forms. We are looking forward to continuing to get to know our new 2026 students over the remaining weeks of term.

Glasses for Kids

This week we had an exciting package arrive for some students, which was a free pair of glasses for students who had the initial examination at the beginning of term and it was recommended that they would benefit from wearing glasses. The program is generally targeted at students from Prep to Year 3.

There were some forms returned after the visit. For these students it is recommended to go to a local optometrist and have an eye examination. If glasses are required the prescription can be given to the school and it will be emailed to the program and a free matching pair of glasses will be provided.

Halloween

Many families will be celebrating Halloween today which may involve dressing up and going 'trick or treating'. We hope they have an enjoyable time, but also remind families to ensure this is done safely and responsibly, with adequate supervision.

Have a wonderful long weekend.
