Sustainable Scarecrow

Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show

The students at Belmore created some amazing scarecrow to enter into the Sustainable Scarecrow competition at the show.

The students thoroughly enjoyed feeling different textures, making decisions and being part of a whole school activity. With lots of ideas, planning and love Sam and Magnificent Molly were created.  Our students were very much hands on in this activity and with lots of laughter and smiles all round. Everything that we used to create Sam and Molly were recycled and / or sustainable.

The expression on the students faces made this activity so worthwhile and now the students enjoy seeing Sam and Molly on display at school. 

Thankyou to everyone for voting, we came close to taking out the People's Choice award, but just missed out.
