Senior Spence – Art Room Highlights
Senior Spence students have been working diligently on their perspective drawing skills. Using rulers, they successfully created horizon lines and drew converging lines to depict a road vanishing into the distance — a great introduction to spatial depth and technical drawing techniques!
In celebration of Mother's Day, students engaged in special art activities that were both meaningful and skill-building. One highlight was bead stringing, an enjoyable project that also supports a range of developmental benefits:
- 🖐️ Fine Motor Control – Handling small beads helps strengthen hand and finger muscles.
- ✋🤚 Bilateral Coordination – Using both hands together improves coordination and motor planning.
- 🎨 Colour Recognition – Choosing and organizing colourful beads reinforces visual and cognitive skills.
- 👁️🤲 Hand-Eye Coordination – Threading beads onto string requires precise alignment of sight and movement.
- 🧠 Attention Span & Perseverance – Students practiced focus and determination to complete their work.
- 🎨 Creativity – Each piece was a unique expression of love and imagination!
We’re so proud of the creativity, care, and effort Senior Spence students have shown in their artwork!
