Canberra Camp Message

Students from our school have recently undertaken an education tour of the national capital. Students had the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational programs with a focus on Australia’s history, culture, heritage, and democracy.

The Australian Government recognises the importance of all young Australians being able to visit the national capital as part of their Civics and Citizenship education. To assist families in meeting the cost of the excursion the Australian Government is contributing funding of $90 per student under the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate program towards those costs. The rebate is paid directly to the school upon completion of the excursion, and this rebate was considered when working out the costings for camp and came off the final price.

Maintained supervision during afterschool activities

If your child participates in an external co-curricular activity (or club) afterschool, such as swimming or tennis, we kindly ask that they remain in the designated area while awaiting their session.

For example, students waiting for a swimming lesson should remain within the pool area rather than moving to other spaces such as the basketball courts.

Thank you for your support in helping us maintain a safe and well-supervised environment for all students at all times.

☀️ No Hat, No Play

We are noticing an increasing number of students arriving at PE lessons without a hat. Our spare hat supply is very limited.

Please ensure your child brings their own clearly named hat to school every day. Hats are an important part of our SunSmart policy and are required for outdoor activities, including PE.

Thank you for helping us keep our students safe in the sun.
