Student Lighthouse Group Presentation

Congratulations to the Year 6 Student Lighthouse Group on conducting an informative and interactive presentation to the assembled group of parents, carers and interested others on Wednesday evening.

The group did a wonderful job of providing some excellent information about online experiences, as well as provoking some great conversations about challenges families may face when students are navigating the online world.

Guests were also presented with a take-away gift of a set of cards featuring games and discussion prompts for family conversations.

As well as presenting to our school on many occasions, as well as the presentation this week, the group of extraordinary student leaders have also presented to a packed room of teachers and school leaders recently - just about the toughest crowd there is!

Book Week Parade

Monday morning saw all manner of costumes unveiled at our annual Book Week parade. There were some tremendous efforts that had been gone to in costume preparation, for which we extend our warmest thanks (apologies?) to our parent and carer community - we know that the costumes on the students are invariably the result of many hours attached to a pair of scissors, trying to make that re-purposed cardboard box bend to your will. The proprietors of local op shops, KMarts, Amazon and Temu also send their gratitude for your patronage I am sure!

Projects Update

• The chickens are here and happy as Larry in their Chicken Wonderland. Thanks to the families and staff who assisted in construction! Also looking forward to some sprouting plants in the garden beds with the warmer weather just around the corner.

• Plants have been ordered for the upgraded play area, with planting to occur in the coming weeks! The building company are also booked in to return in the coming weeks to rectify a couple of non-urgent defect items in the construction zone.
