CRAZY HAIR AND SOCK DAY

The staff and students went crazy for Crazy Hair and Sock Day!! It was amazing to see all the different colours and creations that the staff and students used in their hair and had on their feet! Thanks to the generosity of our families, as a school we raised over $300 for Catholic Mission.

SOCCER BALL CHALLENGE

The Soccer Ball Challenge held in conjunction with Crazy Hair and Sock Day was a huge hit as each class competed within their stage to claim the winner title. Congratulations to Nate Cameron who scored the most goals for Kindergarten. Collectively, 1/2 A and 3/4 L were the winners for Stage 1 and Stage 2 while Stage 3 ended in a shootout with 5/6 Q being named the winner!!!

REMEMBRANCE DAY PRAYER ASSEMBLY

Thank you to our families and school community who attended our Remembrance Day Prayer Assembly. We gathered under the COLA and enjoyed performances by our talented School Band. They played Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and Surprise Symphony.

The Remembrance Day liturgy was led by Mrs Rily. We took this opportunity to pay our respects and remember all those who have given their lives to protect and preserve the lives of all Australians and strive to make sure that their sacrifice is never forgotten.

Angus Read and Matilda Murphy represented St Francis Xavier’s by laying a wreath at the Remembrance Day Memorial Service held at the Narrabri RSL on 11th November 2023.

TEACHER ACCREDITATION

We celebrated a wonderful professional achievement for Miss Mackey last week as she was presented with her accreditation certificate as a proficient teacher. Congratulations Miss Mackey!

Last week Isabel Sunderland and Andiah Walsh had a fantastic week at the Wii Gaay Learning Hub. Held at the Lake Keepit Sports and Recreation Centre, it was a full week of learning opportunities during the various literacy, numeracy and technology learning hubs as well as a whole lot of fun including fishing trips, swimming activities and an obstacle course mud run!! Mr Hynch also attended for the week and acted as a mentor for all students.
