From the Principal

St Justin’s Primary School acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Australia's First People and Traditional Custodians of the land and waterways on which our school stands.

We pay our respects to the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation, and their elders past and present, and emerging as we continue to proudly live and learn on their land.

ANZAC Service

Gallery Image

Saturday 25th April is ANZAC Day - a time when we not only acknowledging the men and women who have represented their countries during times of war, but also a time to pray for world peace.

Today our Year 6 students led us in an ANZAC Service in acknowledgment of ANZAC Day. It is amazing how everyone comes together on this day to remember our soldiers.  I hope you take the time as a family to discuss this important day with your children.

Our service, not only acknowledging the men and women who have represented their countries during times of war, but also a time to pray for world peace.

We were very fortunate to have two guest speakers - Sergeant Braedan Heverin and Coporal Lim Dunkley from the Defence Forces who spoke to the students after the service.

Thanks to all who were involved – I’m sure our soldiers would be very proud.

Our Year 6 Leaders sold items to support the ANZAC Appeal.

All donations go to the RSL ANZAC APPEAL to assist in providing for War Veterans and Dependents, Care of the Aged, Family Welfare, Vocational Guidance and Hospital Home Visiting.

ANZAC Prayer:

God of peace,

On ANZAC Day we remember those who gave so much in times of war.

Through the example of Jesus Christ, teach us a different way.

A way of courage that builds, not destroys.

A way of strength that lifts others up.

Help us to be people who don’t turn away from the hard realities of our world,

but who choose to respond with justice, compassion, and hope.

Be with all those affected by war today,

and guide us to be part of the change our world needs.

Amen.

A Morning with Mum

A special morning to celebrate! Whether it’s Mum or another special person in your life, everyone is warmly welcome. If Mum can’t join us, that’s okay, bring along someone who means the world to you. A grandma, an aunt, a family friend, or anyone who plays an important role in your life.

This isn’t quite breakfast, but a delightful morning tea. Enjoy coffee, light pastries, and plenty of smiles as we gather together as a community.

There will also be a fun florist-inspired experience where you can explore, create, and choose something special perhaps a bracelet or even try a playful tattoo!

At St Justin’s, we celebrate every family, every story, and every connection. We look forward to sharing this warm and joyful morning with you.
