This semester, our Year 11 VM students participated in the Brain Bloom program, developed by Better Health Network and facilitated by our Student Wellbeing Coordinator, Isabella Farrar.
This program focused on building mental health literacy, reducing stigma surrounding mental health, and increasing awareness of support pathways available to young people.
As part of the program, students designed and delivered projects aimed at promoting positive wellbeing across our school community. Their initiatives included creating and displaying positive affirmations around the school, throwing sponges at your teachers, organising therapy dog meet-and-greet sessions, running a "Longest Kick" fundraiser and baked chocolate chip cookies in support of Team Sports 4 All, and hosting a popular "Guess the Lollies in the Jar" competition.
Through these activities, students demonstrated leadership, creativity, and a commitment to fostering a more supportive and connected school environment. We are incredibly proud of the positive impact they have made on our school community.
