Showcase of Learning - Year 4
Year 4 presented an engaging Chapel item based on their learning from The Wild Robot. Throughout the term, students have been expanding their vocabulary by exploring interesting and challenging words from the novel and learning how to use them effectively in their own writing.
During the presentation, students confidently explained the meanings of selected vocabulary and shared imaginative sentences demonstrating their understanding. A highlight of the presentation was a series of fun and creative videos produced by the students, which brought each vocabulary word to life through entertaining real-life examples.
The children also enjoyed participating in an interactive game that tested their understanding of the new words. Superb work, Year 4!
Performing Arts Afternoon - Important Update
We've had to make the decision to cancel the upcoming Performing Arts Afternoon Tea which was to be held on Monday 30 June.
While our students have been working hard and making excellent progress, we feel they would benefit from additional rehearsal time to continue developing their skills and confidence before presenting their performances. We want to ensure that when they do share their work with our school community, they are able to do so at a standard that reflects their efforts and showcases their abilities.
Instead, we're offering you the opportunity to watch your child participate in their last Band/Dance Program of the term.
Please see below for dates and times:
K-2 After School Dancers: Tuesday 30 June, 4.05pm in the Dance Studio
3-6 After School Dancers: Thursday 2 July, 4.20pm in the Dance Studio
Band: Pop in for 10 minutes during our morning rehearsal on Monday morning 29th June from 8:30am to see us in action!
Choirs: We are still working on our songs and will find a date next term to perform for you.
We appreciate your understanding and ongoing support of our students.

A Busy Week of Learning, Sport and School Spirit
It has been another action-packed week at our school, with students embracing a wide range of opportunities both in and beyond the classroom.
On Monday, our students proudly represented the school at the CSSA Soccer and Netball Gala Days, demonstrating excellent teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the competition. It was wonderful to see students encouraging one another and representing our school with pride.
Over the last two weeks, students in Years 3–6 also enjoyed their Gymnastics Excursions, where they developed coordination, balance, strength and confidence through a variety of engaging activities and challenges. The excursions provided a fantastic opportunity to stay active while building resilience and trying new skills.
To round out the week, students and staff came together for Jersey Day, proudly wearing their favourite sporting jerseys while raising funds for new sporting equipment. Thank you to everyone who supported this initiative and helped make the day such a success.
It has certainly been a memorable week, filled with learning, participation, teamwork and plenty of school spirit!
