NAPLAN 2024

Parents of students in Years 3 and 5 have now received their child's NAPLAN assessment reports. These assessments were conducted in March and included tests in Writing, Reading, Conventions of Language and Numeracy.

St Francis Xavier's received pleasing results and all students are commended for their efforts.  The assessments changed format in 2023, meaning student growth in the tests from Years 3 to 5 is unable to measured as yet. However, our students achieved some excellent results.

Year 3 Writing - 83% of students received results in the Strong/Exceeding bands. 

Year 3 Numeracy - 61% of students received results in the Strong/Exceeding bands. 

Year 5 Reading - 76% of students received results in the Strong/Exceeding bands. 

Year 5 Writing - 75% of students received results in the Strong/Exceeding bands. 

Year 5 Numeracy - 62% of students received results in the Strong/Exceeding bands. 

Year 5 Grammar & Punctuation - 70% of students received results in the Strong/Exceeding bands. 

Year 5 Spelling - 68% of students received results in the Strong/Exceeding bands. 

The percentage of our students in these bands is above the Armidale Diocesan average in Year 5 Reading, Writing, Grammar & Punctuation and Spelling.

We are very proud of the achievements of our Years 3 and 5 students!
