Inspire

Concert week is such an exciting time for our school community. We get to see our children shine on stage, stepping outside of their comfort zone and performing in front of a large crowd made up mostly of adults they don't know. It is incredibly courageous, and our children draw further strength from each rehearsal and performance, emerging from the concert experience with greater confidence and pride in what they have achieved.

Faith grows in much the same way. Each time we draw upon God's strength, each time we ask for His help, each time we recognise His actions in our lives, we draw further strength from Him and we grow in confidence. As we read in Isaiah 40: 31, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

We also grow, not in pride of our accomplishments, but in admiration and gratitude as we see more and more ways in which God is acting within us and for us. 

I therefore take this opportunity to pray for successful concert performances today and tomorrow night and that each of our children up on stage feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. 

I also pray that as we enter the Term 3 holidays that you feel God's presence in your life, that you feel able to call upon him in times of need and that you can draw strength from Him and His plan for you.

May you, your child and your family have a blessed school holidays filled with rest, refreshment and love, and we look forward to welcoming you back for Term 4.
