Principal News 

This week I received the type of email I love!!  it was from an observer at year 4 Hoop time this week. They wanted to share how impressed they were by our students’ behaviour. They were particularly impressed with the grade 4 boys (coaches included) and how inclusive their behaviour was. The respect was not exclusively show to our students but shown to other teams which was wonderful to hear about.

At times, they were winning by more than points and still refrained from displaying arrogant or dismissive behaviour. This is not always displayed by all teams in tournaments such as these and I am enormously proud of our team for displaying such great sportspersonship! Congratulations on upholding our CARE school values year 4s!

Footy Day

On Wednesday we have our annual footy day. Students can come dressed in any code colours. They are invited to be in footy, soccer, or their favourite sport colours. If you don’t have any of this attire at home, students are welcome to come in free dress. Please don’t do rush trips and spends for footy gear as we are all watching our pennies. If you child says, ‘but I have to have footy gear’, you can quote me! We will start the day with our Parade. Students who have ordered it will be served a footy day lunch that has been organised by the PFA. Thank you to Elsa for leading and organising this fun event for our students.

Early dismissal next Friday 

Next Friday is the final day of Term 3. Students will be dismissed at 2:30 pm. We will notify you of the assembly start time early next week when we know how much time is required for items. Students will be dismissed from their classrooms at 2:30pm. 

Thank you to year 6 gardeners

Thank you to the group of year 6 students who worked with me to complete works in the entrance area of our school. We still have some more planting to do but here is a progress shot. 

Save the Date

Eltham High School is holding their open day and Fete on Sunday October 11th from 10:00am -3:00pm to celebrate Eltham High School's 100th Birthday .
