Year 1/2 Old Gippstown Excursion

What a fun day we had at Old Gippstown! The kids got hands-on with butter churning, taking turns to shake and mix just like they did in the olden days (and yes—it actually turned into real butter!)

We visited the blacksmith’s workshop and watched sparks fly as he showed us how tools were made by hand—super cool to see in action!

At Sunny Creek School, everyone got a taste of old-school learning, complete with chalkboards and wooden desks. There were no screens to be seen!

And of course, we popped into the General Store, packed with old-fashioned goods and treats from the past. The kids loved imagining what it would’ve been like to shop there 100 years ago.

It was great day mixed with fun and learning—thanks to all the parent helpers who joined us!
