DIOCESAN SWIMMING CARNIVAL

 

Well done to all our students who attended the Diocesan Swimming Carnival in Gunnedah on the 1st March. A squad of 23 talented swimmers represented St Francis Xavier’s competing for a place in the Diocesan team. 

 

Congratulations to Maggie Lawty who was the 11 years girls champion runner up on the day and has qualified to compete at the Polding Trials. Congratulations as well to Millicent Conaty, Rosemary Davies and Ivy Towner who also qualified to complete at the Polding Trials at Sydney Olympic Park on Wednesday 3rd April.

 

 

DIOESAN WINTER TRIALS

 

Last Friday eighteen students travelled to Tamworth to compete in the Diocesan Winter Trials. They competed for a place in the Diocesan rugby league, netball and soccer teams. The students enjoyed the experience of competing in the trials and are to be commended for their strong skills in their chosen sport. 

 

Congratulations Tilly Varcoe who was selected for the Diocesan Soccer team, Darby Cameron who was selected for the Diocesan 11 Years Rugby League team and Harry Tout and Angus Irwin who were selected for the Opens Rugby League team. 

 

These students will go on to compete at the Polding Trials in Tamworth on Friday 3rd May.
