Principal Team Update

Dear Parents and Carers,
As we come to the end of a busy and rewarding Term 1, we extend our sincere thanks to our wonderful school community for your ongoing support.
This week brings the term to a fun and enjoyable conclusion with Japanese Day today, and our Easter Bonnet Parade on Thursday. The parade is always a memorable experience for our Prep students - this year joined by our Year 6 students - as they walk around the Concourse visiting our local traders. A special thank you to the Glee Club and Ms Pholi for their efforts in preparing for the performance outside Ginger Fox on Thursday. Thank you also to our Parents and Friends for selling Japanese snacks and organising the much loved Easter Raffle this week.
This term has been filled with a wide range of experiences for our students. Our Years 4, 5 and 6 students enjoyed their camps, while Years 1, 2 and 4 participated in swimming programs. Our Year 3 and Year 5 students completed NAPLAN, and there have been many valuable incursions and excursions across the school. Our Year 6 students have also begun rehearsals for Shrek the Musical.
Following community feedback to Bayside Council, I am pleased to share that additional safe travel routes will be introduced as part of the Scoot Skate program. The winning decal designs will be announced in Term 2, with installation around Beaumaris scheduled to begin in May.
We have also received a great deal of positive feedback about our Family Fun Night, and we are already looking ahead to 2027 as we continue to grow and develop this much-loved community event.
Our 2026 Whole School Photo has now been published and is proudly displayed in the front foyer.
Whether it has been through attending events, supporting learning at home, volunteering your time, or simply staying connected with us, your involvement makes a meaningful difference to our students and our school. It has been a term filled with growth, achievement and positive experiences, and we are grateful to share this journey with you.
We wish all of our families a safe, happy and restful Easter break. May it be a time to relax, recharge and enjoy special moments with loved ones.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back next term.
Kind regards,
David, Grace, Keli and the BPS Team
