FWPS Parents Association

The FWPS Parents Association would like to wish all of our families and community a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year. We would like to extend our greatest thanks to all of those who have volunteered their time and talent to make our fundraising initiatives and uniform shop come to life. In 2026 we will be on the lookout for more volunteers and PA participants, we have some big ideas on the agenda - but we need your help! We’d also like to acknowledge our wonderful FWPS teachers for the volunteer thank-you morning tea last week. Our volunteers keep things going across the year and it was an honour to be able to come together and celebrate as a group.

Our recent Zooper Dooper Drive has been a great success, thanks to all the PA Association volunteers, our teachers and school leaders and the generous support of Trevor and the team at Sims IGA for coming onboard with the supply! Here is our awesome Zooper Dooper packing team!

The Uniform Shop has yet again been a staple of the PA initiatives this year to ensure that families have access to second hand uniforms all while raising some funds and helping out the planet! A special thank-you to Eleni Kakoulidou, Tanya Tran, Hilary Veale, Quyen Do, Penny Stephens and Quan Nguyen for braving the cold, the heat and everything in between to bring this together throughout the year. Uniform Shop Donations - We are almost finished packing up the excess green jumpers and bottoms for textile recycling. Due to the volume, we ask that donations are paused until the new year. Dresses and good quality bombers are still welcome.

This year we were able to contribute funds approx. $370 to each of our specialist teams, Susie has replenished a bunch of art supplies and Shannon has been able to add a number of new books to the library. Stratos and Jane are eagerly awaiting the completion of the new gym before spending their funds. At our general uniform shop opening in November we were able to raise $440 will be put towards the new STEM program in 2026.
