Regional Athletics

Well done to the following students who competed in Division Athletics on Tuesday 17th of October.  Jagger D, Ned B, Harris H, Harry K, Fletcher R, Ivy P & Lewis Y.

Congratulations to Harris who has qualified for the State Finals in discus.  Throwing an amazing 26m!!  Good luck for the Final.

Division Basketball

Well done to our Gr 5/6 Boys Basketball Team who competed in the Division Finals on Thursday 5th October at Keilor Stadium.  They won their first match against St Monica’s by 10 pts.  Then in a really close game the team unfortunately fell 2 pts short on the buzzer to a very talented team from St Peter’s East Keilor. Throughout the finals and our District Carnival both our boys and girls teams represented our school extremely well.  Thanks to all the parents who supported on the day and Andy for coaching, we really appreciate it!

5/6 Rotational Sport

The Gr 5/6 students have been participating in Rotational Sports (Soccer, Rounders, Team Skittles, Matball & Tchoukball) every Friday morning since the start of the term. This is the 20th year of the Rotational Sport trophy and at the half way mark we currently have “The Champs” led by captains Icie G & Elodie C out in front on 31pts followed closely by “Team Supreme” on 29pts.

MPW Fun Run

We will be holding our annual Fun Run on Friday November 24th.  All the students & teachers will be involved and can run, jog, skip, hop, walk etc for one hour. This year the JSC will also be choosing a dress up theme – Look out for this announcement.  As well as this being a healthy whole school activity, the students will be asked to (but don’t have to) collect sponsors to raise money.

To hold this event we need the assistance of parents to supervise corners & the Darling St barricades. We also need help to operate a drink stop, stamp student’s hands when they complete laps.

We cannot run this event without your assistance so don’t be shy! It’s also a great way to get to know other parents & support the children as they run past.

If you are able to assist please complete the form below.
