Term 3 Week 1

Welcome back to FHS for Semester 2. We are off and running again with new electives starting up and a couple of new faces around the school. We have had two new teachers start with us this term, Mikarla, teaching English and Humanities and Sam who is teaching Health and PE, we have also got a handful of new students who have started with us, so welcome aboard everyone we hope you have enjoyed your first week.
The staff started the week with a curriculum day on Monday where we spent the majority of the day starting the work on building our new curriculum for 2027. We will be launching the 2027 electives at the end of this term so keep an eye out for subject selection dates coming soon.
This week has also seen the release of our most recent NAPLAN results. Families should receive their student's results in the mail in the coming days. Whilst we don't put too much emphasis on these one-off results it was very pleasing to see that across all measures the school has improved, so well done to all those students that participated.
Looking ahead to next week
Monday: Games club is back up and running on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Head along to room G07 to see what it is all about.
