The Feast of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop

This week, we celebrate the Feast of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, Australia's first Saint, whose life continues to inspire us to live with courage, compassion and faith. Mary MacKillop dedicated her life to serving others, especially through education, believing that every child deserved the opportunity to learn and grow in God's love.

Her famous words, "Never see a need without doing something about it," remind us that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference. As a school community, we are encouraged to follow Mary's example by showing love, serving others and living out our faith in our everyday actions.

We warmly invite all families to join us for our Feast of St Mary of the Cross Liturgy on Friday 7th August at 9:00am in the school hall. Following the Liturgy, students will gather in their Family Groups to participate in a range of activities celebrating the life, faith and legacy of Australia's first Saint.

We look forward to celebrating this special occasion together as a faith-filled community.

Strengthening Our School and Parish Connection

At St Therese's we are committed to nurturing the strong partnership between our school, parish and families. When we gather together in prayer and celebration, we strengthen the faith-filled community that supports our children on their journey of faith.

We warmly invite all families to join us as we celebrate the Feast of the Assumption with Mass at 12:00pm on Friday 14th August. This special feast honours Mary's trust in God and reminds us of the hope, love and joy that are at the heart of our Catholic faith.

Following Mass, we invite everyone to stay and enjoy a cuppa and a chat with Fr Ajin. This will be a wonderful opportunity to connect with other families, spend time with Fr Ajin and continue building the welcoming and vibrant community that makes St Therese's so special.

We hope you can join us for this special celebration. Whether you attend Mass regularly or are joining us for the first time, you are always welcome.
