From the Principal
Hello everyone,
Welcome to another edition of our newsletter.
We have marked the milestone of 100 days of school for our Foundation students since our last edition! A big shoutout goes to the parents for the creative outfits on the day. We had a lot of old people with their walking sticks and some with cleverly decorated tops marking 100 days. A fun day was had by all of the Foundation students as they celebrated with their buddies and with a range of fun activities.
I would also like to mention the Premiers Reading Challenge which we have currently up and running, with 98% of students registered this year! We do have a special golden ticket event for students who have completed the challenge, with 23% of students already invited to the event, we cannot wait to see more with invitations soon. Classes with a 100% completion rate can also come in free dress for the day. This, along with our reading certificates being more high profile and across the school, is aimed at promoting reading both at school and home. Not only is reading fun but it helps with writing and spelling as well.
We are also working on our morning routines here at school this term. Our aim is to have all classes starting promptly at 9am and to reduce our late arrivals which is currently averaging at 42 students a day. Please look out for a Compass notification with more details about this.
