From The REC

Loving God,
As we journey through Lent, help us to grow closer to You.
Teach us to be kind, to share with others, and to pray with open hearts.
Give us strength to make good choices and to follow Jesus' example of love and sacrifice.
May this season of Lent help us to be more patient, forgiving, and caring.
Bless our school, our families, and our friends,
And guide us to Easter with joyful hearts.
Amen.
St Patrick's & St Joseph's Day
Last Monday we celebrated the Feast of St Patrick with a liturgy with Father Paul at the school under the Cola. It was lovely to see so many families join us at school for this special celebration. Students also dresed in green clothes to celebrate St Patrick with a gold coin donation going to supporting our charity - Caritas, for Project Compassion.
Thank you to the generosity of our wonderful families who contributed to raising funds for this worthy cause. Your kindness makes a real difference.
On Wednesday the 19th Of March we celebrated the Feast of St Joseph with a Mass in the Church with our parish community.
Project Compassion
Project Compassion Boxes
Each family would have received a small Project Compassion box to keep in their home during Lent. The theme of Project Compassion 2025 is ‘Unite Against Poverty’ and reminds us that the good that we do today will extend and impact the lives of generations to come. It invites us to make the world a better place by working together now and finding long-term solutions to global issues.
We are particularly encouraged during Lent to give greater attention those who might be in need. One way we are able to do this as a Catholic Community is by supporting Project Compassion run by CARITAS Australia and over the next forty days of Lent we should be looking to make monetary contributions (big or small) to these boxes. We ask that families send them back into school in Week 11 of this term.
We are aware of many local families doing it tough given the current circumstances so prayers for those in need and random acts of kindness that don't cost money can be just as good as a monetary contribution!
Project Compassion boxes are due back to School on Monday 7th April (Week 11)
