Triple P – Positive Parenting Program

As parents, we want to raise our children in a way that aligns with our values, and at times, may need a bit of support to do this.

To support families in developing positive parenting skills and manage challenge, the Victorian Government provides free access to Triple P – Positive Parenting Program.

The aims of the program are to provide support to:

  • create a safe, interesting environment
  • have a positive learning environment
  • use assertive discipline
  • have realistic expectations
  • take care of yourself as a parent.

Support for parents is available via online or workbook-based self-help programs courses.

To find out more or to sign up for a course, visit the Triple P website, or the Victorian Government website below.

VHAP consists of a ten-week online course in Mathematics and English, for students in Year 5&6 at MPWPS. Students engage in Webex classes with their teachers and engage with provided course material.

The VHAP classroom provides students with the opportunity to:

  • explore and express their ideas freely

  • make their own decisions about their work

  • be inspired and challenged by each other

  • gain confidence in their choices and abilities
  • feel excited by their learning.

Students are selected to the program based on previous NAPLAN and PAT Reading & Maths results. Families will be provided with consent forms if their child has been nominated and accepted into the program for Term 2.
