TheirCare News
Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends! Welcome to Week 8 of Term 4.
We would like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respect to their Elders, past, present, and emerging.
Can you believe it, we’re in Week 8 already, 3 more awesome weeks left until the end of term! Our theme for this week is “Summer”. This week was filled with lots of fun! Due to the weather on Monday, we made use of the TheirCare room and the gym for various indoor activities. The children participated in a variety of group games including Poison Ball and Everyone’s It, which the children loved! Both mornings and afternoons we played lots of group games to keep everyone active and engaged such as Name Game, Bobs and Statues and Bubble Ball. We also did lots of building activities and the children constructed houses and towers using blocks and Lego. In the TheirCare room, we also engaged in creative arts such as creating designs with iron beads and the children showed their imagination in their projects. And the kids also did origami which was a hit! We did some educational activities like math challenges, word searches, drawing and colouring competitions which were both fun and exciting! It was a busy but enjoyable week with a good combination of creativity, learning and active play!
