The Swinburne Innovation in Action school holiday program is a 1-day program based at our Hawthorn campus where Year 10 - 12 students are given the knowledge and tools they need to come up with brilliant new ideas to solve real-world problems.
In this free program, you will:
- Identify and analyse a real-world problem
- Design possible solutions to your chosen problem
- Create a rapid prototype for your solution
- Pitch and evaluate your prototype with your peers

Moon Mission invites students to explore the Moon like never before, combining science, creativity and teamwork across a full day of exciting activities.
From learning about past and future Moon missions, to designing your own lunar base, you’ll tackle challenges faced by real scientists and engineers. Work in teams to build innovative solutions under real-world constraints, meet researchers and experience cutting-edge space technology through interactive exhibits and tours.
The day culminates in a high-energy survival challenge and a look ahead to the future of human exploration beyond Earth.
