ANZAC Digital Twin Challenge
Taylors is pleased to extend an invitation to students to get involved in their ANZAC Digital Twin Challenge.
This is a unique opportunity for students to explore how STEM and Surveying shape our world through "placemaking" and blending technology with society to ensure important historical stories are never forgotten.
This activity suits any students interested in:
- Science / Technology / Engineering / Mathematics: 3D data capture and spatial accuracy
- Photography / Graphics: Visual storytelling and digital rendering
- Sociology: Recognising the contribution of all who have served for Australia and New Zealand in times of war
Local History: Honouring local community heritage
Activity
STEP 1: Locate a local ANZAC memorial or cenotaph. This can be done as a group or individual activity.
STEP 2: Download the Scaniverse app on a Smartphone
Download here for Apple, and here for Android.
STEP 3: Capture the target image using a simple point and shoot camera function by walking around the circumference of the target.
STEP 4: Share the capture link (and an optional story) with Taylors to be featured on our live map.
Equipment
All your students need is a smart phone and the ability to download the Scaniverse app.
Outcome
Not only will student work be featured on our live Digital Twin Map, but taking on this challenge is a fantastic way for students to stand out if they are interested in undertaking work experience with a Land Surveying, Engineering, Urban Design or Architecture firm.
