STEP DAY

On Tuesday, 1 September, our Year 6 students attended their third Transition Day at O’Connor Catholic College. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow, excitement for Year 7 build, and new friendships develop with students from other schools.

The day began with Mr Anthony Kelly collecting the students in the O’Connor bus. Once they arrived, students joined their house groups and rotated through four activities.

In the Library, students had time to ask questions, read, colour and play games. 

In Visual Arts, they sketched a Mintie wrapper as they unwrapped it, before choosing their favourite sketch to complete with watercolour. 

In History, students learnt about different Medieval shields and then designed their own. During PDH, they discussed physical, emotional and mental health and ways to look after themselves as they prepare for high school.

Students also enjoyed recess and a delicious pizza lunch provided by the College!

A big thank you to O’Connor Catholic College and their staff for another wonderful day and for helping our Year 6 students feel confident and excited about their transition to Year 7. They are certainly looking ready for their next chapter!
