TheirCare News

Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends!

Welcome to Week 7 of Term 3!

I can’t believe how fast the time is going! During this week our theme is “Father’s or Special Person Day”. During the mornings and afternoons, children have been busy engaging in arts and crafts activities. They have made such colourful and beautiful Tulips in the stand, a heart-shaped necklace that has a note inside it, scratch dad letter magnets, and even made a portrait of their dad or their special person! Amazing to see them engaged in such activities wherein they can showcase and enhance their creativity and imagination skills! In the morning, the fan favourite games were Cards Against Humanity and Spoons! Meanwhile, every afternoon just like every other week, sports are still a popular outdoor game but lately, children have been loving playing Hide and Seek or Hide and Seek Tag – they are still being supervised and can only hide within the safe space.

PUPIL OF THE WEEK

This week’s Pupil of the Week is Arthur He for his thoughtfulness, kindness, and for being the first one to offer help to someone. Well done, Arthur! You should be so proud of yourself. 😊

FATHER’S DAY OR SPECIAL PERSON’S DAY BREAKFAST

We would like to let all families know that we are organising a Father’s Day or Special Person’s Day breakfast on Friday, 30th of August outside Emu Corner. Our Area Manager Mitch will be there cooking bacon and egg rolls from 7:30am to 9:00am. If you have time, feel free to come and join us. We hope to see you all there!

HOLIDAY PROGRAM

We would like to let all families know that the Spring Holiday Program is now open for bookings. Flyers are now available at the TheirCare Room/Emu Corner, feel free to come visit us and grab a copy. For this holiday program, we have 3 massive excursions to the movies, Bounce, and even going to Luna Park!! Looks like we will be having a lot of fun during this holiday program.

TC TUCKER

You must be wondering what this TC Tucker is. TC Tucker is a new program that has been added to the service. It is aimed at developing strong connections to our local communities whilst cooking culture-inspired recipes. We started TC Tucker last Friday where we made Fruit and Yoghurt Parfait (an inspired dish from France) – all of the children loved it! We will be doing TC Tucker until Term 4, so there will be a slight change in our weekly afternoon tea menu. On Wednesday, 28th of August, we made sandwich sushi (an inspired Japanese recipe) for afternoon tea instead of having our favourite Mac N’ Cheese! However, our very own Mac N’ Cheese recipe has been chosen to be one of the TC Tucker Recipes for next week – the date is yet to be confirmed. It means that other TheirCare services will be making our favourite Mac N’ Cheese recipe! Also, we would love it if all families would join us in this new program by submitting some of your own family favourite recipes so that we might make them in the service.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

We would like to let all families know if your child/children have a medical condition that we will need to have their up-to-date medication and medical documents on-site. We will be having an Assessment and Rating visit from the Department soon. So, if we don’t have the up-to-date required documents and medication on-site, unfortunately, we will have to suspend your accounts. We highly appreciate your support and understanding during this time.

For all families – if you have any questions about TheirCare and would like to come and have a chat, please come visit us in Emu Corner in either the morning or afternoon. Alternatively, you can contact us on the details provided and we will be happy to help you.
