Week 5, Term 2

Our Year 5/6 students had a wonderful time at Camp Rumbug last week. The camp experience provided students with opportunities to challenge themselves, build independence, strengthen friendships and create lasting memories together. It was fantastic to see students embracing new experiences and supporting one another throughout the camp.

A huge thank you to the staff who generously gave up their time to attend camp and care for our students throughout the experience. Camps require a great deal of planning, organisation and energy, and we are incredibly grateful for the dedication of our staff in making these opportunities possible for our students.

Thank you also to the staff who remained back at school and stepped in to support the students and programs here at St Mary’s while camp was taking place. It truly takes a whole team effort to ensure everything runs smoothly.

We hope all students returned home tired, happy and proud of the experiences they shared together.

Community Open Morning – Save the Date!

This year, St Mary’s will be holding a Community Open Morning on Saturday 13th June from 10:00am–12:00pm.

We are excited to welcome our school and wider Hastings community for a fun morning filled with free activities for children and families to enjoy. There will be a baby animal farm, a Rotary-sponsored BBQ, and plenty of fun activities throughout the morning. Everything is free, except for coffee from the coffee van!

This event is all about showcasing our beautiful school and celebrating the wonderful community we are part of. We would love to see many of our current families there and encourage you to invite friends, neighbours and other members of the Hastings community to join us.

If you know of a local community group that may like to be involved in the morning, please let me know. We are very happy to host and support local community groups as part of this event.

Enrolment is well and truly underway! If you know someone is interested in enrolling Prep for 2027 please share the enrolment flyer with them!
