100th Day of School

On Wednesday the youngest students at our school celebrated their 100th day of school.

The students took great joy in dressing up and celebrating with their friends and family at their special morning tea. There were lots of smiles at the 100th day biscuits made by the Pathways students and they certainly didn't last long before they were gobbled up!

As a community we are very proud of the way they have transitioned to our school. Thank you to the teachers for making the day such a memorable one.

The Olympic celebrations continued in the Upper Junior school today with their very own 'Potato Olympics'. The students decorated their Olympian spud and each potato competed in a variety of Olympic themed events. There was lots of excitement and creative spud decorating.

Keep your eye out in the playground for our very own Naranga cow. The students are participating in the Picasso Cow program which is designed to educate students on the health and nutrition benefits of eating a well balance diet incorporating foods from each food group. In the upcoming weeks the SRC students will be running a competition to name our cow. The students have started to decorate the cow under the careful guidance of Mrs Dunn and the Pathways students.

WE WANT OUR PARENTS / CAREGIVERS / GUARDIANS TO TELL US WHAT THEY THINK!

Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey offered by the Department of Education and is seeking your feedback. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we encourage and appreciate your participation.

Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.

The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will be open online from Monday 29 July to Friday 30 August 2024.

All families are invited to participate in the survey.

Your child should have brought home a hard copy of the below on Tuesday. Once one parent/carer completes the survey return the slip to the front office or to your child's teacher to go in the raffle to win a $50 Woolworths Voucher.

The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.

The online survey will be available in English and 10 other languages including Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese. Resources are also available in additional languages to assist parents / caregivers / guardians who speak a language other than English at home. Please reach out to your child’s teacher, or the school directly for survey guides in your language. Please speak to your child’s teacher if you would like more information.

Thank you for a wonderful week.
