PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning)
PB4L Expectations and Reminders
Setting clear expectations for behaviour and uniform is essential to ensure all students are Respectful, Responsible, and Safe. To reinforce these standards, we are regularly re-teaching our school's expectations within individual classes and across the whole school, making sure every student is well-informed. We appreciate parents' support in promoting these high expectations with their children.
Ask your child about the weekly focus for students.
This fortnight's focus:

SJB Athletics Carnival 2026
Our School Athletics carnival was a fantastic day held at Beaton Park on Monday, May 11. We enjoyed rotating through athletic events and novelty activities in the sunshine. We are so thankful to the amazing Holy Spirit College students who assisted us on the day, along with our staff and parents who were working tirelessly to ensure events were efficiently run. It was so lovely to see so many spectators enjoying the day as a school community. Thank you to the school P&F for ensuring delicious food, drinks, and treats were available throughout the day!
Thank you to the students, parents and family members for contributing to our 2026 carnival. Once again, the competitors' behaviour, attitudes, skill levels, determination, and athleticism were to be commended. The way students supported and encouraged each other and showed enjoyment was a real highlight to witness.
An enormous thank you to our amazing volunteers who acted in an official capacity. Your support is very much appreciated. Please pass on our gratitude to anyone who assisted in any way, great or small, some for the last time. We also wish to acknowledge our dedicated staff, who started the day extremely early, setting up, supervising and spending the whole day encouraging and supporting students. What a great school community we are part of, where everyone goes above and beyond so students get these opportunities. We have appreciated the positive feedback received and as always, we reflect and look for ways to improve our events for the following year.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Protect Your Child This Winter – Free Nasal Spray Flu Vaccine Available
As we move through the winter respiratory illness season, NSW Health is encouraging families to take simple steps to protect themselves and others from influenza (flu).
Influenza is a highly contagious respiratory illness that can spread quickly in schools and other settings where people are in close contact. While many people recover at home, influenza can cause serious illness and complications, particularly in young children. Vaccination remains the best protection against severe illness and hospitalisation.
Free Nasal Spray Vaccine for Children and Teenagers
NSW Health is offering a free nasal spray influenza vaccine for children and young people aged 2 to 17 years for a limited time. The vaccine is:
Needle-free and painless.
Given as a quick spray into each nostril.
Approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).
Available through participating GPs, pharmacies and Aboriginal Medical Services while supplies last.
The nasal spray vaccine provides families with an alternative option for children who may be anxious about needles and aims to increase protection against influenza across the community.

Parents and carers can access information and resources from NSW Health:
We encourage all families to consider vaccination and speak with their GP, pharmacist or Aboriginal Medical Service about the most appropriate option for their child.
