Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends! Welcome to Week 1 of Term 1.

We would like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respect to their Elders, past, present, and emerging.

Time is flying, can you believe it’s already Term 1? While the school year just started, we have been back at Theircare since 6th of January and what a blast it’s been! We kicked off the year with three epic weeks of Holiday Program filled with fun games and activities. Plus, we got to welcome a whole bunch of new faces, including our excited 2025 Preps! Here’s to an awesome year ahead! Our first week of the holiday program was packed with non-stop fun! We kicked off with some epic excursions, like a trip to the movies to watch Moana 2 and a visit to KidZalia the ultimate play centre in Caroline Springs. 

 The second week the numbers were skyrocketing every single day! We had more fun excursions such as another trip to the movies, this time to see Sonic the Hedgehog 3 on the big screen! Later during the week, we hit the bowling alley for two whole hours of non-stop fun one hour of bowling and another hour playing so many arcade games. We also had some fun in-house activities, from Craftopia Showdown and Octopus Art Attack.

Week 3 of the Holiday Program was a total blast! We had an incredible incursion Ocean Odyssey where we learnt about the fascinating marine wildlife. Then we had some exciting in-house activities such as the Lego competition and drip bear painting where we painted colourful masterpieces!

To end our Holiday Program, we threw a fun Back-to-School party filled with so many fun activities such as balloon games, colouring competition and Back-to-school Artwork. Also, we had some yummy treats like fairy bread and hot chips! What a perfect way to end the holidays with a bang! 

We would like to extend a warm welcome to all our new 2025 Preps and their families. During the holiday program, we had the pleasure of meeting so many of our new preps and getting to know them. It was fantastic to introduce them to Theircare and the school community. Our new Preps are incredible jumping right in and making new friends! They did an amazing job settling in and we can’t wait to see all the great things they will achieve this year! 

During the first two terms we would like to reassure parents and explain our process of supporting our new preps with the transition from TheirCare to school and vice versa. If your prep child attends before school care, one or more educators will walk over with your child to their class and wait until the bell goes or see that the child is comfortable and confident to wait for their teacher. In the afternoons, one educator or more will walk over to the prep classrooms, pick up your child from their classroom, and safely bring them to the gym for after school care. To also help with a smooth transition, we also send out a prep list to all the teachers so that they are also aware which preps are attending TheirCare which also helps with a smooth transition.

ANNOUNCEMENT

We would like to let all families know to end through the back gate on Blandford Street for before school and after school care. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We would like to let all families know that we are currently doing a medical audit. If your child/children have medical conditions, please know that we need their updated medication and medical documents. This week we will be handing out a white envelope that has a pre-filled risk minimisation plan in it. If you could please sign it and return it to us. Also, due to it being a compliance document, unfortunately, we will have to suspend your accounts if we don’t have the documents on-site. 

We would like to let all families know about the cancellation policy, please make to cancel your bookings within 24 hours to avoid the cancellation fee. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
