ACU will be hosting its Guarantee Early Offer, Entry Programs and Pathways Webinar (VIC) on Tuesday 11 August, from 6.00pm- 6.45pm. Learn about ACU’s entry and pathway options, including the ACU Guarantee early offer program, key dates and how to apply. Plus, hear from current students about their journeys. This webinar is for Victorian Year 12 students and their parents.

Sandringham Sports Physio Open Day

This is an opportunity for students to learn more about sports medicine and interact with some of our clinicians.

The session is free and registrations can be made online at https://sportsphysio.com.au/events/

As this is hosted in our clinic, space is limited and registrations will close once we have reached capacity.

Workshops are interactive to allow studetns to ask questions. Student will not be required to undertake any manual techniques.

Marine Science Workshop Series for Secondary School Girls

Cetacean Sisters is a hands-on science program for secondary school girls, focused on dolphin and whale research and conservation in Port Phillip and beyond. Through workshops, mentoring, and real-world data examples, it inspires young women to explore STEM careers. Held across five engaging sessions, this hands-on program explores the science of whales and dolphins through real-world activities, mentoring, and land-based learning on the shores of Port Phillip or Phillip Island.

Workshop Highlights:

Interactive Learning: Each session includes practical, hands-on experiences focused on the cetaceans of local waters.
Expert Mentors: Led by a local cetacean scientist and her experienced marine science team.
STEM Career Insights: A valuable introduction to marine science pathways and what it’s really like to work with wildlife.
Small Group Size: Capped at 12 students to encourage mentoring and peer connection
Ongoing Support: Includes free access to the online platform Circle Community app for 12 months of continued connection and learning.

What is VET in the VCE?

VET stands for Vocational Education and Training, and vocation refers to work or employment. VET in the VCE programs are designed to give students an exposure to practical skills and an understanding of what it is like to ‘learn through doing’. So, students can opt to do a VET subject while completing their VCE and, in many cases, the VET qualification contributes towards the VCE and the ATAR. Visit VET in the VCE to find out more.
