Students with Disability
Changes to apprentice incentives take effect
There are several changes to the Australian Apprenticeships Incentive System that came into effect on July 1. Disability Australian Apprentice Wage Support (DAAWS)
A weekly payment of $226.01 paid in arrears to employers who employ an apprentice who satisfies the disability eligibility criteria. These increases reflect indexation in line with the CPI. All the changes can be seen at the Australian Apprenticeships website
Certificate II in Construction
Students will learn how to safely use construction tools and equipment, apply levelling procedures, work safely at heights, carry out concreting, and read and interpret basic plans and specifications.

The White Card is a legal requirement for anyone working on a construction site in Australia.
This short course gives you the essential work health and safety (WHS) knowledge you need to enter the industry. You’ll learn how to identify hazards, manage risks, and follow safe work practices on site knowledge you’ll use every day.
