School Council

Message from the School Council President
A big welcome back to all our families for 2026!
On behalf of our School Council, I’d like to warmly welcome all our returning families and those joining us for the first time this year. We hope the holidays provided an opportunity to rest, recharge and spend time together.
Our School Council plays an important role in shaping the strategic direction of the school, supporting governance, policy development and long-term planning. Alongside this, our PCA focuses on strengthening connections within our community, supporting school initiatives and creating opportunities for families to come together.
What makes our school truly special is the strong sense of community that underpins everything we do. The partnerships between staff, families and students create a supportive, inclusive environment where every child can thrive. We are excited for all that 2026 will bring and look forward to working together throughout the year.
Our amazing school community runs best when we all pitch in – and right now, we’re on the lookout for volunteers to lend a hand with upcoming events, classroom activities, fundraisers and more.
Whether you have an hour a week or just a little now and then, every bit counts!
If you’re keen to get involved, please reach out to Catherine and Sall for upcoming events at parkridgepca@gmail.com We’d love to hear from you!
Thank you to those families who joined us for the annual Foundation Picnic, one of the early highlights of Term 1. It was a wonderful opportunity for our newest families to connect, build friendships and begin their journey as part of our school community. We very fortunate to have a beautifully sunny evening for the BBQ and games. We welcome you all to the Park Ridge family.
Looking ahead, there are even more exciting activities on the horizon for Term 1, including House Cross Country, House Athletics, Special Lunch and our highly anticipated Easter Raffle.
Thank you for being an important part of Park Ridge. Together, we’re creating a supportive, vibrant, and inspiring environment for our children to grow and thrive and a place they are excited to attend each day.
If you ever want to chat, my daughters are in years 2 and 4 and I’m more than a happy to field any questions. Otherwise, we hold a School Council meeting, twice a term on a Thursday evening which I invite you to attend, please register your interest at the office.
Here’s to a wonderful 2026!
Warm regards,
Courtney Sanderson
School Council President
