Feast of the Sacred Heart - 12th June
The Feast of the Sacred Heart is a good opportunity for us to think about the kind of hearts we want to have in our own lives. In our classrooms, on the playground, at home and online, we can choose to be people who spread kindness and peace.
Even small actions can make a huge difference. A smile, an invitation to play, helping someone, saying sorry or standing up for another person are all ways we
can share the love of Jesus.
The Sacred Heart reminds us that love is not just something we talk about. Love is something that we do. Jesus invites us to become people with BIG hearts who notice others, include others and care for others.
Blessing:
May the Sacred Heart of Jesus help us to notice people who need kindness.
May our hearts always be open to others.
May Jesus teach us to speak words that bring peace, encouragement and hope.
Help us use our words with love each day.
When life feels difficult or heavy, may we remember that Jesus walks beside us.
Jesus, stay close to us every day.
May we be brave enough to include others, forgive others and care for others.
Help us love the way you love.
May our school be a place where everyone feels safe, welcomed and valued.
Let your love shine through us.
Amen
