Interschool Chess Tournament

On Monday 24 June, Blackburn High School hosted a competitive Interschool Chess Tournament with students from Box Hill High School and East Doncaster Secondary School.

Thanks to Box Hill High School's Ms Pearson and Mr Bailey for all their efforts in organising and supplying everything from the chess boards, clocks, medals and program to ensure a successful day.

All students played with passion, enthusiasm and respect for one another. It was a great opportunity for students from different schools and year levels to connect and engage with like-minded people and develop connections in this competitive sport for the first time together.

Blackburn High students played exceptionally well and we are proud of their leadership and example to others. Congratulations to you all.
