Congratulations Marley C (8D) for competing in National Bouldering Championships in the Gold Coast this April. Marley didn’t make it to the finals, however, we are all very proud of her accomplishments.
Congratulations to two of our students who represented Blackburn High School at the School Sport Victoria EMR and State Diving Finals, which were held at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre in Albert Park.
Jackson F competed in the 13-14 years boys event and Torin W in the 17-20 years boys event. Jackson finished in 1st place and Torin in 2nd in the EMR event that was held in the morning. This qualified them both for the State Final in the afternoon.
Jackson was selected to represent Team Vic for the School Sports Australian National Diving Championships in August. We wish Jackson luck in South Australia.
Both boys dived really well and Jackson came away as the State Champion and Torin finished in 3rd place. Congratulations to both boys!

Benjamin W (Year 9, Melba) was selected by Rugby Victoria to represent the State in the Victoria U15 Boys squad.
The team will travel to South Australia to compete in a tournament in July. Benjamin has worked very hard to qualify, and only 25 boys in Victoria were selected.
Good Luck Benjamin.
Four Australian teams contested in the U20 2024 Thailand Junior Volleyball Championships. The tour’s objective was for the players to improve individual skills and team structures at an international competition.
After the teams finished competing at the tournament, they continued to train within the touring teams and playing “friendly” matches against local Thailand club teams.
Congratulations to Iggy C who was selected for the School Sports Victorian Hockey Team. We wish Iggy and his team the best of luck competing in the National Competition in July/August.
Hannah recently competed in the 4 day NT Amateur Golf Championship in Darwin. The competition covered over 72-holes stroke play, and is open to players of all ages.
Well done to Hannah who finished 7th place overall.
Congratulations to our Unit 1 and Year 10 students for completing their exams. The behaviour and application demonstrated by our students was exceptional and this experience will prepare them for their exams in future years. Most pleasing was the outstanding attendance rate of 96%, well done!
