Hollows
Term 2
As the Term races toward its conclusion, we are excited to bring you the latest edition of our school newsletter where we can acknowledge and celebrate many of our highlights and achievements.
On Wednesday 1st May, the Hollows Year 7 students had an unforgettable experience at school camp. They embarked on an adventure-filled three days at the beautiful Lake Dewar. The camp was packed with exciting activities that kept everyone engaged and having fun - such as bike riding, stand-up paddle-boarding, kayaking and flying fox.
Not only did the camp provide opportunities for physical activities, but it also fostered teamwork and friendship among the students, strengthening bonds and creating lasting memories.
On Tuesday 14th May, we had our annual Hollows Fundraiser where we worked to raise money for the Fred Hollows Foundation - an organisation that works to focus on treating and preventing blindness and other vision problems. The event was filled with a range of fun activities for students to get involved in, such as Chocolate Toss, Henna Designs and Just Dance. We served sausages, drinks and home-made samosas which were a crowd favourite.
We look forward to making a donation to the Hollows Foundation from the funds raised. Thank you for all of the student helpers on the day, it would not have run as smoothly as it did without your assistance!
Congratulations to our Unit 1 and Year 10 students for completing their exams. These exams presented a fantastic opportunity for students to practice applying their knowledge under examination conditions. The behaviour and application demonstrated by our students was exceptional and this experience will prepare them for their exams in future years.
As always, we are grateful for the continued support of our parents and the hard work of our students and staff. Thank you for being a part of our wonderful school community.
We look forward to more exciting developments and successes next term.
Have an enjoyable and safe break.
