Sundays Gospel

Last Sunday’s Gospel was Matthew 15:21–28. It told the story of a mother who came to Jesus asking for help for her daughter. She showed great faith, persistence and love, and refused to give up when things were difficult. Jesus recognised her faith, and her daughter was healed.

For parents, this Gospel is a beautiful reminder of the strength of a parent’s love. We cannot always solve every problem our children face, but we can keep showing up, keep listening, keep encouraging and keep believing in them.

Sacrament of the Eucharist

On Tuesday, 1st of  September, Year 4 students will participate in a Reflection Day to help prepare them for the Sacrament of the Eucharist. Throughout the day, students will engage in meaningful activities designed to deepen their understanding of this sacred sacrament. It will be a special opportunity for reflection, learning and spiritual growth as they continue to develop their relationship with Jesus. Year 4 students are asked to wear casual clothes on this day.

At 3:00 pm on Tuesday 1st of September,  students and their families are required to attend the Family Preparation Session. As part of the Sacramental Program, a parent or caregiver and their child are required to attend this session. It will provide families with an opportunity to reflect on their faith journey and prepare together for the sacrament.

The session will also help parents understand the Sacrament of the Eucharist, what the preparation program involves and how they can support their child at home.

We thank our parish priest, Fr Martin Tanti, who will lead the presentation.

On Saturday 12th September at 2:30 pm,  Students will celebrate and receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist. Students are asked to wear neat casual clothes. Traditionally, students wear white.

Questions about the Sacrament of the Eucharist or the school’s Sacramental Program can be directed to Ed Simpson.
