2026 Parent/Carer Opinion Survey
We want our parents/carers to tell us what they think!
Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Carer Opinion Survey offered by the Department of Education and is seeking your feedback. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we encourage and appreciate your participation.
Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.
The Parent / Carer Opinion Survey will be open online from Monday 17 August to Friday 18 September 2026.
All families are invited to participate in the survey.
The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.
The online survey will be available in English and 10 other languages including Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese. Resources are also available in additional languages to assist parents / carers who speak a language other than English at home. Please reach out to your child’s teacher, or the school directly for survey guides in your language.

Proposed Strike Day - Advance Notice
Unfortunately, the negotiations between the AEU and the Department are continuing and Wednesday August 19th has been proposed as another day of strike action.
At this time, there is no indication of what the impact of this will be on our school and this is unlikely to be known until a day or so before - if previous timelines are an indication.
The Grade 3/4 excursion to the Kyabram Fauna Park is scheduled for this day. We will commit to this still being held regardless of the action. The children will be very much looking forward to this and it is an important part of their learning this term.
We provide the advance notice of the potential strike action so you can start to consider alternative arrangements on this day, if the strike action is to occur. The hope is that there is an agreement reached before this time that allows the intended action to be postponed, however, hope is not a strategy.
We will communicate with Camp Australia and determine if they are able to offer their service which may also be useful to families. This will be communicated to you all if it is an option.
Fishing Kits
This Friday, our Grade 5 students will receive a FREE Little Angler Kit as part of the Victorian Government’s Little Angler Kit program, delivered through the Victorian Fisheries Authority.
The program aims to get more children outdoors, active and enjoying fishing with family and friends. Each kit includes a fishing rod, reel with line, tackle box with hooks, lead-free sinkers, swivels and a lure, as well as a Kids’ Guide to Fishing.
Kits will be handed out to students this Friday 14 August (after Assembly) to take home. As the kits contain fishing hooks, students will be reminded that they are to remain unopened until they are safely at home and under the supervision of a parent or carer.
If you do not wish your child to receive a kit, or you would prefer to collect your child’s kit directly from the school, please contact the office before Friday.
