From the Assistant Principal

Last Friday, we were feeling especially grateful to be part of the Aspendale Primary School community as we celebrated Principal's Day.

Being Principal and Assistant Principal is more than a role—it's a privilege. Every day, we're inspired by our incredible students, the dedication of our staff, and the support of our families.

We appreciate all of the kind words, special notes and cards from our students and of course the delicious treats at morning tea that added to our celebration today!

We are so proud to be part of this amazing community and look forward to continuing to learn, celebrate and achieve together.

Thank you for making Aspendale Primary School such a wonderful place to belong.

Choir Performances

Our Choir has gone on tour! Across this term, the Choir have been rehearsing and practising every Wednesday in preparation for performances across Aspendale. 

On Monday the Choir performed at Aspendale Senior Citizens Club. They sang beautifully, with the finale including a sing-a-long with the audience members to a golden oldie Elvis favourite. On Tuesday, the Choir entertained children at Nola Barber Kindergarten, and Wednesday at Aspendale North Kindergarten. Again, the audience joined in singing with some classic nursery rhymes and a dance off to Dance Monkey! The Choir has one more stop on their tour at Bonkers Beat Kinder next Wednesday.

We are so incredibly proud of our performers for their efforts, confidence and for the way they have represented our school!

Ramps

Ramp works have recommenced this week near the Year 5 classrooms and at the art room entry. This work will continue over the coming weeks and will progress to other areas across the school once the current work areas are completed. Thank you to our community for your support and understanding as these works take place. 

Network Community of Practice Cluster Visit

Today, we had visitors from local network schools undertake a learning walk of our school as part of our Communities of Practice. During the learning walk, we visited classrooms across the school to observe the teaching and learning program. We received feedback on our improvement work relating to our instructional model, consistency of practice,

high expectations and clear routines. Thank you to our staff and students for working together to improve teaching and learning at our school.
