Multicultural Celebration
All the Prep classes participated in the whole school Multicultural Day recently. We were all excited and proud to wear our personal cultural dress and celebrate the wonderful and varied communities that make up Bundoora Primary School. Oh and what a feast we had for lunch! A huge thank you to the families who provided a plate to share. We learnt a lot about differences and how amazing we all are.
Bundoora Park Farm Visit
Why do cows make milk? Why do chickens lay eggs? How big can a pig grow? These are just some of wonderings our Preps have had about farms and their animals. Our Term Two topic of Farms is being incorporated into our Reading, Writing and Discovery lessons and the students are quickly becoming farm experts! All the students loved their day out at Bundoora Park Farm. The excursion gave them a chance to see many of the farm animals they are learning about first-hand which was really interesting. Who knew that pigs could grow so big? Or that we put horse poo in compost? We also patted the guinea pigs, made scones and saw goats, sheep and a huge turkey amongst many other animals. Many students are asking to go back so families may find themselves with a new school holiday activity!
